SPELEOLOGIST MARIO JALDIN DISCOVERS ANOTHER CAVE IN TOROTORO

Recently the 3rd International Congress of Speleology in Torotoro, Potosi concluded with the annoncment of the discovery of a new cave and a call for the acknowledgement and support of Bolivian professionals in the field.
In mid-July local Speleogist Mario Jaldin accompanied by Italian experts confrmed the discovery of a new cave in the area. The cave is located in a cayon wall almost 70 meters above the ground.
The entrance of the cave is reached from a high promontory making the new cave an attraction for people who practices extreme climbing, indicated Jaldin.
It is necessary to map the cave which was formed during the cretaceous period. As well as classify it as a living cave due to the formation over the centuries of stalagmite and stalactites.
